Kimitoön is a municipality located in the Archipelago Sea in southwestern Finland. It is situated approximately 70 kilometres (43 miles) from Turku, the oldest city in Finland. Kimitoön encompasses the large Kimito Island, and is known for its coastal beauty, with rocky shores and crystal clear waters. A kayaking excursion is the perfect way to experience the unique scenery of the archipelago!
For this excursion, you’ll meet the experienced guide at the starting point in Kimitoön. You can choose from a half-day or a full-day adventure. The guide will provide all of the sea kayaking equipment, including double kayaks, paddles and life jackets. No previous experience is needed, you’ll start with a safety briefing and paddling instructions. Then, the adventure begins!
Following the guide, you’ll begin a relaxing journey along the archipelago. The Kimitoön Archipelago consists of a stunning network of islands, with lush forests and picturesque coastal villages. The guide will bring you to the beautiful parts of the archipelago, adjusting the exact route depending on the weather conditions and the groups’ experience. Midway through, you’ll stop for a break at one of the islands. On the full-day tour, a tasty lunch will be served as you take in the island’s unique beauty. The trip will end back at the starting point in Kimitoön.
